The University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) strengthened its position in Cebu collegiate chess after capturing two gold medals in CESAFI competition, highlighted by the men’s team completing a four-peat championship run.
The achievement marks a fourth consecutive title for the USJ-R men’s chess program, underscoring the Jaguars’ sustained success in the collegiate competition. USJ-R’s haul of two chess gold medals further highlighted the university’s strong performance in the tournament.
The latest championships add another milestone to USJ-R’s chess program and extend its successful run in CESAFI.
